What’s in the name? ARF 11 : 11(Make a Wish) The question comes up a lot, where did the name come from?   “ARF” are my initials, it’s a sound we use to describe a dog barking.  I’ve always been an animal LOVER from a little child, I can remember caring for animals. So I knew all of my life that I had to do something with animals.  And I want to do so much more.  “11 : 11”  is my birthday (November 11).  One of my dearest friend once told me that whenever you see 11 : 11 on the clock or anywhere, your suppose to  “Make a Wish”.  I thought that was Perfect for my business name.

To make clean, all natural treats. That will enhance the health and wellness of our pets.

I want to know exactly what is going into my dogs treats. NO preservatives, No artificial colors or flavors, and No unknown chemicals. Preservatives will preserve the shelf life of the treat but it compromises the purity of the treat and the health of our dogs. I want my dog to have the very Best. Almost every ingredient we use comes from a known source. They are all carefully selected. Whenever possible we buy locally grown produce from farmer markets around the DMV (D.C., Maryland,Virginia) area. We are committed to making fresh all natural, high-quality treats. All of our ingredients are human grade.

Coconut is one of our main ingredient in almost every treat we make. According to the AKC (American Kennel Club) coconut meat is high in lauric acid. Lauric Acid is particularly good at fighting off viruses, such as influenza. It helps treat yeast infections, ringworm, and Giardia. It also holds some major anti-inflammatory properties. Reduced inflammation will help speed the healing of cuts, hot spots, and other wounds. Inflammation is also the main cause of arthritis, so feeding coconut to your dog might make their aching joints feel a little better, as the inflammation settles down. Coconut is packed with antioxidants to support the immune system. It also helps the body form a healthy response to foreign microbes. This means coconut provides the body with an extra defense against bad bacteria, viruses, parasites, and fungi. Although the ingestion of coconut hasn’t proven to cure any diseases, there have been studies supporting its anti-viral properties. We crack and prepare our coconuts by hand it is not an easy task. But anything worth having, is worth the wait.

We take the time and pay close attention to each treat, to make sure they are perfected. We have the willingness to do whatever it takes to make a clean healthy treat, that will help your dog stay healthy and happy. We are here to help!!! As carnivores, dog’s have no need for fruits and vegetables as part or their diet. But we love to give them treats once in awhile. So why not…. make it healthy with fruits and vegetables instead of unhealthy processed stuff we can’t pronounce. The secret to making delicious all natural treats…… It is pure and simple!!! ALWAYS use the BEST ingredients. ARF is an all natural dog treat, you will give one to your dog and you can eat one too!!! For the first time your dog can share their bag of treats , with you. Treats should not make up more than 10 percent of your dog’s balanced diet. A great way to incorporate treats into your dog’s daily diet is to use them as rewards. Using positive reinforcement with treats is one of the most common ways pet parents choose. And remember treats are intended for intermittent or supplemental feeding.

Our Story

I would like to introduce myself and my dog, I consider her my beautiful baby girl. My name is Amy Fields and my Cane Corso Jada. We are both originally from Colorado, I moved to the DMV (D.C., Maryland, Virginia) area in 2005. In 2004 I started taking sign language classes at Front Range Community College, I wanted to continue and further my proficiency in sign language. And in 2005 I transferred to Virginia and I enrolled into Gallaudet University. Gallaudet University is the premier institution of learning, teaching and research for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing students. I planned to stay for just a year or two, but after a year in the DMV area I LOVED IT!!!! I wanted to stay and make this my home. In 2016 I returned home to visit my son, on our way home from the airport my son told me his sister’s dog, a Cane Corso had puppies. So we decided to go look, “JUST” look at the puppies. I’m sure you know where this story is going, I don’t have to say what happened NEXT!!!! YES, I had to take one of the puppies home, my beautiful baby girl JADA.

So Jada moved to the DMV in 2016. From day one I wanted to feed her the BEST. Over the years Jada started to have issues with her digestive system, she couldn’t eat this, she couldn’t eat that. She would get rashes, she would lick her paws, and her legs. She was just uncomfortable all the time. I changed her diet more than four different times. Nothing worked, finally I found a diet that worked, but I still needed to find a healthy snack/treat to give her. So I decided to try and make her homemade healthy treats. That way I know exactly what is in her treats.

Now I’m taking this wonderful journey with Jada, for Jada and all dogs to keep them healthy and happy with Clean, High Quality, All Natural, Gourmet Treats. Pets provide us with unconditional LOVE!!! And we want to provide your pets with healthy treats that will enhance their LIFE!!!

ARF 11 : 11 makes healthy all natural dog treats. We start with fresh fruits and vegetables, if the label says: Apple, Banana, and Oatmeal…. It is a REAL Apple, a REAL Banana, and Oatmeal (Oatmeal should be cooked not raw serving it raw will only make it harder for your pup to digest.) Absolutely nothing else, No preservatives, No artificial colors or fillers. So basically they’re eating a baked Apple, Banana and Oatmeal….. Pure and Simple!!! Each treat is made by hand. We take our time to make sure each treat is made to our standards of EXCELLENCE. We Believe in a Healthy, Happy, Dog for Life!!!
